1. WCE "Contact" Laser Technology - Wavelength conversion effect

2. Wavelength conversion - Effect with sapphire tip:

  • The application of contact laser is no longer directly related to the laser wavelength. The conversion efficiency of heat generation is similar for different wavelengths.
  • The main advantage of the diode contact laser system is that the end acts through thermal energy (incision, excision, ablation, coagulation, vaporization)

3. Sapphire tip structure:

  • The metal portion of the probe becomes heated during procedures
  • The scalpel’s lateral aspect allows for a lower temperature area capable of coagulating tissues
