On March 26–27, HDN Investment Joint Stock Company, together with ForTsing Medical (FTM) from Hong Kong, was honored to accompany Bach Mai Hospital as a sponsor of the “International Scientific Conference on Non-Communicable Disease Prevention & the 45th Anniversary Celebration of the Respiratory Center.”
The event marked not only a major international scientific forum but also an important milestone highlighting the transformation of one of Vietnam’s leading special-class hospitals in the era of modern medicine. This conference welcomed the participation of numerous distinguished delegates, healthcare leaders, international experts, physicians, technicians, and medical professionals from Vietnam and abroad.
A Large-Scale International Scientific Forum
The conference was attended and directed by Ms. Nguyen Thi Lien Huong, Vice Minister of Health of Vietnam, along with several international guests, including Mr. Olivier Brochet, Ambassador of France to Vietnam, Mr. Gilles Angles, Health and Social Development Cooperation Attaché, Mr. Saito Masafumi, Secretary of the Embassy of Japan in Vietnam, Mr. Matsubara Yoshikazu, Health Policy Advisor at the Ministry of Health and JICA Vietnam.
The event also gathered representatives from provincial Departments of Health across Vietnam, including Nghe An, Lang Son, Thai Nguyen, Lao Cai, Cao Bang, and Quang Ninh. The strong participation of healthcare authorities and international organizations emphasized the importance of addressing non-communicable diseases (NCDs), which continue to represent a growing challenge to public health and sustainable national development.
HDN and FTM Participate as Event Sponsors
As an official sponsor of the conference, HDN collaborated with FTM to introduce advanced technologies supporting the diagnosis and treatment of lung cancer at the company’s exhibition booth. The showcased technologies included innovative robotic-assisted bronchoscopy and vascular intervention systems developed by FTM, reflecting the growing trend toward minimally invasive and AI-supported medical solutions in respiratory medicine.
Focus on Robotic Bronchoscopy for Early Lung Cancer Diagnosis
Following the opening ceremony, the conference featured four plenary sessions and multiple specialized sessions with the participation of more than 1,000 delegates and scientists from Vietnam and around the world. Scientific presentations covering COPD, asthma, lung cancer, and chronic diseases associated with aging populations created a highly engaging and academically rich forum.
A central theme throughout the conference was the urgent challenge posed by non-communicable diseases, such as Cardiovascular disease, Stroke, Cancer, and chronic respiratory disease. In response, Bach Mai Hospital announced its strategic transition from a traditional “late-stage treatment” model toward a proactive healthcare management approach focused on: Early disease detection, Personalized treatment, Digital transformation, Artificial intelligence integration, and Modern hospital management systems.
During the continuous medical education session on “Diagnostic and Interventional Bronchoscopy,” Dr. Changhao Zhong from Guangzhou Medical University Hospital (China) and MSc. Hoang Anh Duc from the Respiratory Center of Bach Mai Hospital presented reports on the application of robotic bronchoscopy in early lung cancer diagnosis. Both speakers highlighted the Polaris robotic bronchoscopy system and FTM’s vascular intervention robot as promising technologies in the advancement of respiratory diagnostics and minimally invasive intervention.

Hands-On Training with Robotic Systems
At the end of the training session, participating physicians had the opportunity to perform hands-on practice using FTM’s robotic systems. Doctors directly conducted remote robotic bronchoscopy procedures on lung models located in China through a 5G-connected platform, demonstrating the remarkable potential of telemedicine and robotic-assisted intervention technologies.
Thanks to their advanced capabilities and precision-assisted operation, the Polaris robotic bronchoscopy system and Vascular intervention robot received highly positive feedback and strong interest from attending physicians.
